Vixen Hall Kennels & Grooming

Meet Our Staff

Rhonda Merrill: Owner/Operator

Rhonda Merrill has always had an affinity for animals. Her career in the pet industry began over 15 years ago as a professional pet groomer. She continued her education and apprenticed at a veterinarian office performing vet technician work. In her spare time she donated money and services to help animal rescue organizations and pet owners who were unable to afford proper medical and grooming care for their beloved pets. In 2003, Rhonda purchased Vixen Hall Kennels in the hopes of providing quality pet care at affordable prices. Vixen Hall Kennels, a 26 acre property, is a dog’s paradise; with wide open spaces, a large, natural pond, and plenty of love. Rhonda hopes to provide Southern Chester County with a comfortable and affordable place for pets to vacation.

Jamie Shellington: Dog Groomer/Trainer

Since graduating with Marketing and Event Planning degrees from Penn State University in 2005, Jamie looked to pursue a career in the animal industry. In 2007, she received her grooming certification and began grooming professionally and managing Vixen Hall. Her devotion to animals lead her to continue her education and branch out to the dog training field. Jamie enrolled in both the Animal Behavior College’s Dog Training Program and the Companion Animal Sciences Institute’s Diploma for Canine Behavior Sciences and Technology Program. After graduating from both programs with distinction, she began offering basic obedience training classes at Vixen Hall Kennels. In conjunction with Vixen Hall, Jamie’s goal is to provide quality pet services to the Chester County area.

Robert Satchell: Pet Care Technician

Robert, a graduate of Penn State University in Business Management, has been with Vixen Hall Kennels since 2006. His passion for animals has lead him to pursue a career in the kennel industry with the hopes of owning a boarding facility of his own in the future. Since graduating in the spring of 2011, Robert has continued his professional career with Vixen Hall. Rescue work is another interest that he hopes to further by volunteering for local rescue organizations.

Maggie Hern: Pet Care Technician/Dog Groomer

She has been working at Vixen Hall Kennels since 2006 as a Pet Care Technician and has recently branched into grooming services.
